I feel like a sucker for buying this game. It's awful. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!
At $50 for the software package + $12/month in online fees, AO would be overpriced even if it was good. Many users have complained about the lag and server crash issues, which make the game unplayable but may improve. There are two additional problems that killed the game for me:
1) The control interface is absolutely the most confusing, unintuitive, un-useful piece of drek I've ever encountered. I'm a programmer myself and a pretty savvy Windows users, and in 6 hrs of gameplay I couldn't figure out most of the controls. They obviously never did a usability study on this interface.
2) The other players I encountered were constantly attacking me for no reason. Not a single person I encountered tried to speak with me instead of shooting. I was hoping the high price would minimize the number of children playing and make for a good community, but the behavior I encountered was uniformly immature.
I was able to cancel my account so I never paid any online fees, but I got burned for the $50 for the game package. I can't even sell it to some other sucker, because once you log in the CD key that comes with the software can only be used by you--you can't transfer it to someone else if you decide the game is not worth wasting your time on.
So, in summary, the servers suck, the community sucks, the interface sucks. Don't waste your money!!!

難道只能請遊戲從國外坐船或坐飛機過來嗎?? cry..
但官方據說有下載遊戲
然後跟他買cdkey的方法
但不知開放了沒就是了.....
