If you want to take the department store shuttle, get in this line.
The shuttle is free.
The shuttle takes you to the front door of the department store.
There’s a shuttle every ten minutes.

Otherwise, you can take the regular bus over there.
You can take bus number 606 or R12.
You’ll need to have exact change for the bus because they won’t give you change back.
It’s fifteen NT.
The department store is about five stops away.
If you’re not sure where or when to get off, you can ask the driver or the other passengers.

If you’re pressed for time, it might be best to take a taxi.

The map of the MRT lines shows you how much it costs to get to your destination.
The map is right above the ticket machine.

Press the amount you have to pay, insert your coins, and the ticket will come out.
If you don’t have any change, there’s a change machine right next to the ticket machine.

First, you need to go six stops to Chunghsiao Fuhsing station.
There you change to the blue line and go to Taipei Main Station.
From Taipei Main Station, both the orange and green lines will get you to Chihshan station.

Be sure to take the train that goes to Tamshui, otherwise you’ll be going in the wrong direction.
The signs in the stations are all very clear. Just follow them, and you shouldn’t have a problem.

If you pass your station, just get off and go across the platform to the train going the opposite direction.

Whitney calls Jennifer

Whitney: Jen, I'm running a little late.
Jennifer: Then the food might be gone by the time you get here.
Whitney: No! You'd better save some for me! I'm bringing the Wan-Luan pig's feet!
Jennifer: Oh, thanks a lot--my favorite! That better not be all you're bringing...
Whitney: Don't worry. I got a hold of three bottles of your favorite Merlot.
Jennifer: You're a goddess, but when are you gonna get here?

1) be running late(口語的固定用法)遲了,晚了
2) save (v.) 保留
3) Wan-Luan pig’s feet
4) get a hold of(口)買到,弄到(不容易取得的東西)
5) Merlot (n.)
6) You're a goddess. You're a god.

Jennifer calls Billy

Jennifer: Hey, Amy's gonna pick up some cheese, so you don't need to get any.
Billy: OK. I was thinking the French theme would be nice. A little Foie Gras...
Jennifer: Like we can afford to host that kind of a party.
Billy: I thought you said everyone was chipping in this year?
Jennifer: It's like a potluck.
Billy: Alright. I'll get pate. Your friends aren't French. They won't know the difference. Oh! I've got another call.

3) potluck (n.)

Jennifer: Never a better time to learn! You need to go to the Chunghsiao Fuhsing station and 3)change trains to the Taipei Main Station.
Amy: How long is that gonna take? Maybe I should just take a taxi.
Jennifer: I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m in Tianmu and it’ll cost you at least four hundred NT.
Amy: OK...so what do I do after that?

1) again (adv.)
2) MRT = Mass Rapid Transit
