創世紀的故事起源
Story
It is a time of darkness in the lands of Sosaria. With the defeat of Mondain by British, summoned to the land by the magic of a serpent amulet, and the dark mage's exile from the lands of Akalabeth it seemed that evil had been banished forever. But Mondain was not so easily defeated. While exiled, the source of his power remained, and he sought vengeance upon those who had forced him from his stolen domain.
The four continents of Sosaria had almost forgotten Mondain when his forces struck back against them. Monsters bred in darkened pits, bandits and thieves freed by sorcery from their prison cells, and beasts driven insane by twisted magics fell upon the people. As chaos reigned men fell into despair, turning to Mondain and joining his forces simply in order to make their lives less miserable, falling into the ways of evil. Their victims were driven back to the larger townes and fortresses of the eight Kingdoms, where the armies of the lands could hold the besieging men and their monstrous allies at bay. But they were not the worst of the creatures upon which Mondain could call. In chariots of metal, armed with weapons of fire and light, creatures from beyond the stars swooped down upon the townes, striking again and again until only the mages defending the greatest cities and castles were able to protect their charges from the harrowing attacks.
It was British who had defeated Mondain once before, yet he could not once again take up arms against this new onslaught. It was his magic that protected his Castle and the towne of Britain, once ruled by Mondain, and if he again sought out his foe, those in his charge would be left defenseless. And yet if he did nothing, the forces at Mondain's command would inevitably prevail against the weakened and separated enclaves of safety that remained to oppose them. British could not act, but perhaps he could find another. The ruler considered what kind of champion the land needed, as his hand touched the magical amulet that he always wore.
Within days, a stranger arrived in Sosaria. With the newcomer's utter devotion to truth and good, the potential champion had a chance to grow into a hero who could face Mondain and end his evil.
